Responsibiliites:

* Coordinate repair activity to ensure proper car flow utilizing RAS repairSMART, Railinc DDCT and CIT systems
* Initiate, update and maintain car bad orders and other shopping events in repairSMART, DDCT and CIT systems
* Be responsible for conducting and leading bi-monthly, or as necessary, shop production calls to maintain focus on current shop capacities and car flow requirements along with production and throughput
* Update Customer Service, Sales and customers on car status
* Follow cars through repairs shops to ensure that estimates and ERD's are entered accurately and in a timely manner
* Consult with Mechanical Operations personnel to advise shop capacities and throughputs for Bad Orders, Tank Car Qualifications, Lease Returns, PM's and Programs
* Review cycle times and production rates with the Data Analytics group to ensure proper car flow metering
* Facilitate regulatory events and recalls within specified time-frames
* Application of rental abatement
* Point of contact for private car shops in CIT's shop network

Preferred Qualifications:

* 3+ years Rail Mechanical experience preferred
* Must have the ability to lead, manage, and delegate authority to contract shop management
* Must be willing to research and become familiar with AAR and FRA rules
* Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Must be extremely organized and have strong attention to detail
* Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with teams
* Must have strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Must be a self-starter willing to take full responsibility and ownership of job
